Oil choices should depend on your individual dietary needs, cooking methods and overall diet.
Different Oils and Their Uses for Oil Pulling
Sesame Oil: Known for its anti-inflammatory properties.
Coconut Oil: Often discussed for its antibacterial properties.
Sunflower Oil: Traditionally used for oral care, though evidence for plaque removal is limited.
How to do Oil Pulling?
* Start in the morning on an empty stomach.
* Place a teaspoon of coconut oil in your mouth.
* Swish the oil around for 15–20 minutes – remember to keep swishing and breathe through the nose.
* Once done, spit the oil in the garbage can, avoid using the toilet or a sink as it can clog the drain
Is Sunflower Oil as Healthy as Olive Oil? 🌻
The answer is yes, in some ways! Sunflower oil can be a useful choice for people watching their cholesterol levels, depending on the type of oil and how it is used.
Sunflower oil contains phytosterols, plant compounds associated with helping manage blood cholesterol. The amount varies by oil type, so comparisons with olive oil depend on the products being compared.
Why Do Many Almond Oil Brands Say “For External Use Only”?
It’s a question we get asked often, and rightfully so! If we can eat almonds, why not almond oil?
